We’d hoped to be posting today from Corner Brook, where NQ was going to be part of a couple of events on the Grenfell campus, but the PAL aircraft had other ideas. We’re hoping to reschedule – we’ll keep you updated. We will be speaking with Bernice Hillier of CBC Radio’s Morning Show on Monday at 8:15, announcing an exciting new project with the magazine, and in the meantime we’re happy to report the holiday decorations are going up at St John’s International Airport!

Seeing Through Glass, Plastic and Ice

When I signed up for my first photography class in art school, my dad rummaged around in the basement and placed a heavy leather case in my hands. I unbuckled it to find his old 35mm camera, a Zenit EM. It had an enormous dent above the lens, as if it had deflected a bullet, and its selenium light meter, mysteriously, did not require batteries.
