ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTOR
Emma Burry is an artist from the island of Newfoundland, Canada. She has spent much of her life just steps from the ocean and has allowed these close encounters to influence her art practice. Emma has graduated from the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University and is currently gaining her Master of Fine Arts at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Emma Burry has been awarded The Cottage Crafts Association Scholarship during winter 2018 and The Raymond J.G. Pafford (1937-1997) Memorial Scholarship during the winter of 2017. Emma is also the most recent provincial winner of the BMO 1st Art! Award with her work currently on display in Toronto at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery.
