Run, walk, pirouette – just get to the Festival of New Dance 2025

October 2025

Continuing through the weekend, the Festival leaps and sours, entertains and amazes. So far audiences have seen solos, ensembles, duets, even a short film from Lynn Panting – so much on offer. Upcoming workshops and performances include African Rhythms and Melodies in Action – A Bodily Experience, with Aly Keita; a Dance Commute, guided by Vanessa Cardoso-Whelan; and the Vertical Dance with Cirque’letics, (pictured above).

A young mother, lounging on a wooden raft in a quiet pond with her child, suddenly is witness to a strange and unexplainable event. It’s a hot and lazy day, the woman is half-dozing. She looks up to see a second child, a strange little girl, has appeared out of nowhere.
