December 2017

Our Winter issue exploring the theme of Indigenous Leadership is now on stands.

The issue features a beautiful cover by Marcus Gosse, and art from Jason Sikoak, Heather Campbell, Monika Rumbolt, and Ryan Winters.

Our features include a story about the “Daughters of Mikak” project, celebrating Inuit women’s leadership in Nunatsiavut, a pair of stories about life on Fogo Island, past and present, and an exploration of the excavation of Calvert by Robyn S. Lacey, a recent graduate of the archaeology program at Memorial University.

There is also poetry by Shannon Webb-Campbell and Jan Morrison, and book reviews of new work by both Mary Walsh and Wayne Johnston.

The issue is available at select retailers, including Rocket Bakery, Johnny Ruth, and Chapters.
